Abubakar Sidick,an 18 year old kid would for the following 15 years, consume his time on earth at the Nsawam penitentiaries for burglarizing a man of his GHC1,200.00
His associate, Ibrahim Sunde, 20, who argued not liable to the charge of scheme to rob and robbery has been remanded into jail guardianship to return in court on Thursday October 10, 2019.
Agent Superintendent of Police (DSP) Irene Oppong, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service who affirmed this to the GNA stated that, the theft occurred on Monday September 23, 2019.
According to her, on the said day, Sidick and Sunde outfitted with blades went to Abubakar Omaro’s home at Gomoa Kwabena-andoh while he was snoozing, bankrupt into his room and took steps to kill him.
DSP Oppong said they succeded in taking away GHS1200.00 from Omaro. The case was reported and both Sidick and Sunde were captured.
They were summoned before the Kasoa Ofankor Circuit Court on Thursday September 26, 2019 and charged with conspiracy to rob and robbery.
Sidick conceded and was sentenced without anyone else supplication while Sunde argued not guilty and was remanded.
