The National Democratic Congress’ Felix Kwakye Ofosu has taken to social media to make his opinion known about the directive that the Auditor-general should proceed to take his accumulated annual leave.

He has expressed concern over why President Akufo Addo extended the tenure of the Inspector General of Police(IGP) and CDS who had reached retirement age but has decided not to do same in the case of the Auditor General, Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo.

For him, the President Nana Akufo Addo seems to have hurried in letting the Auditor General proceed to take his accumulated annual leave just because he has taken the fight against corruption to the very heart of Nana Akufo Addo’s presidency.

In as much as Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo has proceeded on leave, it’s not known if he would be back to take up his position.

Accumulated annual leave of hundred and thirty two days implies that he would be out of office for about 5 months or more and this is enough time for certain procedures and processes to be streamlined to ensure that he isn’t able to come back to post.
