A 25-year-old hairdresser, Ama Bonsuwaa, has been raped and murdered by armed robbers at Opeikuma, a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region.
According to a man who gave his name as Joe and brother to the deceased, his sister who works as a cleaner for a neighbour went to her duty post to do her daily household chores when she met the armed robbers in the house.
The robbers, upon finding out that the deceased knew them by face, decided to rape her and subsequently kill her so she would not expose them, Joe asserted.
The robbers, Adom News’ Kofi Adjei reports, dumped the deceased’s body in a refuse bin, close to the house and placed garbage on her as a cover-up.
The mother of the deceased Madam Mary Otu who could not hold her tears expressed shock at the way and manner her daughter was murdered, demanding that justice is done by bringing her daughter’s murderers to book.
The deceased’s body has since been conveyed by Kasoa police pending investigations into the murder.
