The final burial and funeral rites for Ghana’s former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur starts today Thursday, July 26, 2018.
The body would be laid in state at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre (AIC) for mourners pay their last respects from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The funeral cortege would go through some principal streets of Accra after the burial service before his mortal remains are buried at the Military Cemetery, Burma Camp on Friday 27, 2018.
The final funeral rites and reception would be at the forecourt of State House from 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
A memorial thanksgiving service will be held at the Calvary Methodist Church at Adabraka in Accra later on Sunday, July 29, 2018.
Mr Amissah-Arthur died on June 29, 2018, at the 37 Military Hospital after reportedly collapsing at the Air Force Gym during his routine morning workout session.
He was the Vice President from the year 2012 through to 2016. R.I.P Gentle Soul.

he police have blocked some major roads in Accra for the funeral celebration.
Amissah Arthur died during a gym session Former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has shared his fond memories of the late vice president, Amissah Arthur ahead of his burial on July 27th.
In a tweet, the former president expressed how the entire nation will be coming together to grieve the loss of the former president.
“Today, all of us- family, party comrades, well-wishers and the nation- are united in grief at his passing,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, the Accra police command has served notice to block some major roads in the capital of Accra ahead of the two-day final funeral rites for the late vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.
In a public statement, the police state that these major roads will be:
1. Osu Cemetary Traffic Light
2. The Lokko Street
3. The Castle Road
4. AU Circle to Osu Cemetary Traffic Light.
