An aspiring General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is promising to make the deputy General Secretary position in the party very relevant.
Richard Ahiagbah says holders of such position are not given any effective role to play – a situation he said he contributed to the ineffective administration in the party.
The aspiring General Secretary revealed this while addressing party delegates in Bole Bamboi in the Northern Region.
The NPP Communications Director for Chicago in the USA said, he will operate an open door policy to ensure his deputies work effectively.
“The party Constitution provides for deputy General Secretaries for a reason so I will ensure that the two deputy secretaries work and participate actively for the effective and efficient administration of the NPP,” he stated.
Richard Ahiagbah noted that, because one person is doing all the work as General Secretary, it has made it almost impossible for party members to meet him with their concerns.
But, he stressed that; he will change the status quo by running an inclusive team administration, “not a one-man show”.
Richard Ahiagbah who describes himself as a down-to-earth and a grassroots politician said, he is the best bet for the NPP to win power in 2020 as General Secretary.
