Ghana international Ernestina Abambila says her dream is to play and win the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Chelsea Ladies Football Club.
The Black Princesses star, who plays FC Minsk, became the only Ghanaian to score in the Champions League against Slovenian side Ljubljana in the group stage.
”My aim is to play for Chelsea Ladies. I want to win the Women’s Champions League with Chelsea Ladies,” Abambilla revealed in an exclusive interview with Spice 91.9 FM in Takoradi.
”Women Football in Ghana don’t pay. My biggest challenge was when I picked up an injury which ruled me out for close to a year in 2012.
”My mum was against my profession from the early stages, she said I won’t give birth when I continue playing
”My dad was in support of what I was doing when I started from my early stages.” She added.
Abambila will be a key player for Ghana at the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in France this August.
